LIST OF COMMITTEES
As members of the Flagler County Association of Realtors®, you are invited to participate actively in your association's very important functions. The Association and its committee members are responsible for the decisions that affect your careers as Realtors® in Flagler County. Your participation, ideas, and suggestions are precious to your Association and the community you serve.
As a REALTOR® member of the Flagler County Association, the Professional Development Committee would like to introduce you to the leadership opportunities available as a committee member. Interested FCAR members are encouraged to submit the Committee Participation Form. You will be contacted by the Committee Chair, who will answer your questions and serve as your contact as you become part of the dedicated team of professionals who serve as members of your Association committees.
Building Committee:
Oversees the upkeep and maintenance requirements for the Association Building.
Bylaws Committee:
Ensures that the Association’s Bylaws, MLS Bylaws, MLS Rules, and Regulations comply with policies established by the Board of Directors and the National Association of REALTORS.
Finance Committee:
Provides sound financial planning and control for efficient utilization of the Association’s resources, budgeting, and review of the Association's financial data to determine compliance with established policy.
Grievance Committee:
Review all ethics complaints and requests for arbitration and recommend appropriate action by the Executive Officer and Professional Standards Committee.
Programs & Professional Development:
Provides informative programs at the General Membership Meetings, plans the Annual Installation Banquet, and other social functions of the Association. Responsible for planning and producing the annual FCAR Convention & Expo. The committee will conduct a member interest survey annually on topics of most significant current interest.
The Professional Development part of the committee develops and promotes education that enhances the image of the REALTOR® organization and its individual members. It develops a schedule of classes for CE, Certifications, and Designations each year and acts as a liaison between the local Home Builders Association (HBA) and the REALTOR® Association.
Professional Standards and Grievance Committee:
To educate Association members on their responsibilities and obligations under the Code of Ethics of the National Association of REALTORS® and provide a vehicle to settle possible disputes.
To serve on the Grievance Panel, one must undergo annual training. The Panel reviews all ethical complaints and requests for arbitration and recommends appropriate action by the Executive Officer and Professional Standards Committee.
Public Policy (and RPAC):
Disseminate information on local, state, and national issues to the membership. Screens candidates for local political office and actively supports raising funds for the Florida Association of REALTORS® Political Action Committee.
Young Professionals Network (YPN):
The mission of FCAR YPN is to support NAR, Florida REALTORS®, and FCAR by informing more young REALTORS® that involvement in the association will create new opportunities for leadership and business growth by bridging generated gaps with fresh ideas and innovative methods.
